As many of you know a wonderful man was lost in 2017.  Daniel P. Madonna, III - father of Stacy, passed on December 29, 2017.  He was a huge supporter of Kennett Square Massage and so proud that the Kennett Square Massage was the third business in a line of 3 generations to operate out of 500 West State Street.

Daniel's father and mother, Daniel and Ella, built 500 West State Street in the 1960's.  It was the location of Madonna Custom Cleaners.  The business was operated by them until the mid 1980's.  Madonna Custom Cleaners was then handed over to Stacy's father and mother to run as they wished.  In early 1990, Madonna Balloons and Cakes was opened, owned and operated by Daniel and Janice Madonna.  The cake business ran until late 1997 when it was discovered that Daniel needed a heart transplant.  The business closed and several other businesses opened in the commercial area of the building.

When Stacy graduated from massage school the location was available but she was not ready to take on such a huge financial commitment.  She opened in a small one room office and had hoped that in about 3 years she would be ready to take on the location.  As it turns out, God blessed her with the opportunity, the right people and the right time.

Since opening the 500 West State Street location, Daniel was instrumental in spreading the word and drumming up business whenever he could.  He is greatly missed, but we hope we are making him proud by offering the best we can to our clients.
